1. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how we process personal data when you use Tradenova AI on iOS. It is designed to align with Apple’s App Store requirements for privacy nutrition labels and disclosures, and with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) where applicable.

2. Information we collect and process

Tradenova AI is designed to minimise unnecessary data collection, but we and our service providers do collect and process information in order to run the App, understand product usage, measure marketing effectiveness, and deliver certain features. Depending on your settings, permissions, and how you use the App, this may include the categories below.

  • Account and authentication data: When you use account features, an email address and security credentials (e.g. password verification material) may be stored on your device (including Apple’s Keychain) and, if the App is configured to use our backend, transmitted over encrypted connections. Session identifiers and similar app state may be stored in app storage (e.g. UserDefaults) on the device.
  • Camera, photo library, and on-device “AI” analysis: When you grant permission, the App can access the camera or photo library so you can capture or import chart images. Chart read / trend assist for the main scan flow in the current iOS app runs on your device using Apple’s on-device machine-learning frameworks (e.g. Vision, including on-device neural models). In that on-device path, we do not receive your chart image solely for that analysis — processing happens locally on the phone. The App is described as “AI” because it uses automated and statistical methods; it does not provide human financial advice. If we introduce optional server-based analysis in the future, we will describe it in the App and update this Policy before or at the time of collection.
  • App analytics and product usage (Amplitude): We use Amplitude to collect in-app events (such as which screens and features you use, taps, and flows), device and session information, and related metadata. A stable in-app user identifier may be used to join sessions over time and to improve the product. This is standard product analytics, not in-app third-party advertising.
  • Attribution and campaign measurement (AppsFlyer): We use AppsFlyer to understand how the App is installed and which marketing sources perform. This may process device and usage identifiers, install metadata, and (where you allow it under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency) an advertising identifier. You can decline tracking in the system prompt; some aggregate or privacy-preserving reporting may still occur in line with Apple’s platform rules.
  • Subscriptions and entitlements (Apphud, Apple): In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple (payment card and billing account). We use Apphud to manage and verify subscription entitlements and related subscription analytics. We receive information needed to know whether you have an active plan — not your full card number, which we do not access.
  • Push notifications (OneSignal): If you opt in, device tokens and related technical data are processed by OneSignal to deliver messages. We may attach tags (for example, subscription or feature status) to send relevant communications.
  • Product interaction data stored on device: For example, saved “Trends Finder” selections, scan history, and similar items may be stored only on your device (unless a feature explicitly syncs to a server you have configured in a future version).
  • Apple analytics and crash data: If you share analytics or crash data with app developers in iOS settings, Apple may provide us diagnostic information under Apple’s own policies.
  • Market data requests: When you use features that fetch live prices, your device contacts third-party public data sources (e.g. cryptocurrency, FX, or equity-style quote endpoints, depending on the feature). Those providers may process your IP address and request metadata as part of normal internet traffic. We do not sell this data.
  • Backend API (if configured in your app build): If the App is pointed at a Tradenova API base URL, sign-in, registration, and certain feature calls may send your email, tokens, and related account data to our infrastructure over TLS. The exact base URL is defined in the app’s configuration.

3. Purposes and legal bases (GDPR)

We process personal data to:

  • provide the App and its features, including on-device and automated tools (performance of a contract / steps prior to contract);
  • run product analytics, understand feature usage, and improve design and stability (legitimate interests; where required, your consent in the App or system settings for tracking);
  • measure whether marketing campaigns and installs are effective, and attribute new users to a source (legitimate interests and, where applicable, your consent to tracking);
  • manage subscriptions, verify entitlements, and prevent payment fraud, together with Apple and Apphud (contract / legitimate interests);
  • send push notifications where you have opted in (consent or legitimate interest, as applicable);
  • secure accounts, prevent abuse, and comply with law (legitimate interests / legal obligation);
  • improve reliability and product experience using aggregated or anonymised data where possible.

4. Third parties and processors

We rely on the following types of service providers (non-exhaustive, depending on features):

  • Apple — App Store, In-App Purchase, Keychain, on-device machine-learning frameworks, and system services;
  • Amplitude — product and usage analytics;
  • Apphud — subscription management, entitlement verification, and related data;
  • AppsFlyer — install and marketing attribution and campaign measurement;
  • OneSignal — push notification delivery and device-token handling;
  • Public market-data APIs — as used by the App for market information;
  • Our hosting, CDN, and API infrastructure — when you use account or backend features that connect to us.

Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy, and, where we act as a controller, under our instructions for the purposes described in this Policy. Links to key vendors’ documentation are available in the App or on request.

5. Tracking, advertising, and similar technologies

We do not use the App to show third-party banner or interstitial ads from an ad network. We do use analytics, attribution, and support SDKs (Amplitude, AppsFlyer, Apphud, OneSignal) that process technical identifiers, usage events, and — where you allow — an advertising identifier for measurement and product improvement, which Apple and regulators may treat as “tracking” in some circumstances. The App may present Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt where required; you can change your choice later in iOS Settings. Push notification and in-app subscription flows are not the same as cross-app ad tracking, but they may use similar underlying device identifiers to function.

6. Retention

Data stored only on your device remains until you delete the App or clear data. Server logs and support correspondence are retained only as long as needed for security, support, and legal compliance. Subscription records follow Apple’s retention and your account settings.

7. International transfers

If we or our processors transfer data outside the European Economic Area, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Contact us at support@tradenova.app to exercise privacy rights.

9. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

10. California residents (summary)

If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, you may have additional rights (access, deletion, opt-out of sale). We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. Contact us using the details above.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes may be communicated through the App or App Store listing where required.

We aim to keep this Policy accurate for the Tradenova AI iOS app and our App Store disclosures. For jurisdiction-specific questions or material product changes, seek legal advice and update App Store Connect (including the Privacy Nutrition Label and “tracking” / data-use declarations) to match your live build.
